Now, what you want to make sure is that you keep VirtualBox up-to-date. But, once you get in there, and you install that, I can go open up my version of VirtualBox. There's a lot of advanced features in here that we're not gonna really get to just because we don't need them, to be honest. And it just gives you some different things, like how to set it up. I would suggest you take a look at this user manual right here. It's gonna ask you a few things when you start. You just double-click the Install, then you're gonna run it from the application folder. And I probably don't need to take you through all of this. It's gonna go and open up, in this case, on Mac, it's my DMG. Just double-click, you're gonna install it just like you would anything else. Okay, I just downloaded it, so let me go out to my desktop, and you can see it's right there. They actually create this virtual machine for different applications like VirtualBox. I'm not gonna show you those in this course but, once we actually go grab the virtual machine, then you'll see what I'm talking about. Now, like I said, there are others out there that we can use. It's gonna download it, you're gonna see it's not really that big, and it's free, which is amazing. So I'm gonna click on this one right here for OS X host. I believe, in there, they go into how much RAM you need, etc., so check that out. You're gonna see that there are some notes on supported platforms and different things like that like what you should have, etc. So, I'm on OS 10, so I'm gonna go ahead and pick OS 10 host. Now, Linux seems to be one that has the most features like drag-drop, copy-paste, etc. So I'm gonna click on Downloads, and you gotta pick what you want here. But, for now for this course, we're just gonna stick to just testing IE. There is so much, and it's so powerful that you can do with this that it'd make your head spin. There's also an About if you want to go check that out, and you can see that it tells you exactly what this thing is meant for. I have opened up a browser and gone to the website, and you're going to see that there's a download link somewhere over here. But VirtualBox is free, it's well-supported, and I think it does a really good job. There are others out there, that allow you to emulate a guest OS, for instance, like Windows. The first thing we need to be able to test IE on a machine, and, once again, I'm on a Mac, is VirtualBox.
